Mental Health Advocate
“I SHARE MY STORY SO OTHER PEOPLE DON’T FEEL SO ALONE IN THEIRS.” Soley Soucie is a practitioner and board member who is deeply committed to the work of vulnerability, mental health awareness, and creating spaces where honest conversations can happen.
Her commitment to this work is deeply personal. Soley lives with Complex PTSD (CPTSD), and for many years she knows what it felt like to look like everything was together on the outside while struggling silently on the inside. Receiving that diagnosis gave her language for her experiences and helped her better understand her nervous system, her reactions, and her story. It also showed her how many people are carrying invisible struggles while continuing to show up to work, lead, parent, and live their lives every day.
As a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator, Soley uses Brené Brown’s research, including the Anatomy of Trust and the principle of “Clear is Kind,” as practical tools to help people find language for their experiences, build trust with themselves and others, and have the honest conversations many people are afraid to start.
What Soley does in this work is help people feel less alone, put words to what they are carrying, and build the courage to show up more honestly in their lives and relationships. She believes that when one person tells the truth about their story, it creates permission for others to do the same — because courage is contagious, and no one should have to struggle in silence.
